⭐️ Black History Month At Jelly Beans Nursery in Stapleford ⭐️

At Jellybeans Nursery in Stapleford, we love celebrating what makes each of us special and during Black History Month, our children took part in a wonderful creative activity called “Make Your Face!”

At Jelly Beans Day Nursery in Nottingham the children celebrated Black History Month by taking part in a fun activity called 'make your face'. They designed their own self-portraits, exploring their features, and thinking about what makes them unique.

The children had a fantastic time designing their own self-portraits, taking a closer look at their features and discovering what makes each of them truly unique. Using mirrors, crayons, and paints, they carefully studied their faces, noticing details like curly hair, freckles, bright smiles, and the many shades of skin and eye colour that make everyone special. Each portrait became a beautiful celebration of diversity and belonging, reminding us that our differences make us who we are. At Jelly Beans Nursery in Stapleford, we take great pride in creating an environment where every child feels valued, confident, and proud to be themselves.

This activity wasn’t just about art. It was about exploring confidence, identity, and belonging. The children shared what makes them special and learned to appreciate the uniqueness in others. Through conversations and creativity, they explored ideas of diversity, kindness, and community in a fun and personal way.

At Jellybeans Nursery, we’re proud to nurture an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and celebrated. Helping children understand diversity from an early age builds empathy, self-esteem, and respect for others.

We couldn’t be prouder of our little artists and their big hearts. Book a visit with us to see what we are all about! 🌼
