Free government-funded childcare

Funding is available for:

  • All children aged 3 and 4 (15 hours)
  • Some 2-year-olds (depending on eligibility)
  • Working families with children aged 9 months and over

Funding starts the term after your child reaches the right age and is offered during term time only (38 weeks per year).

What the free hours include

The free hours covers early education, including:

  • Qualified staff
  • Learning activities
  • Toys and resources needed to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

What the free hours do NOT include

The government funding does not cover:

  • Meals or snacks
  • Nappies, wipes or sun cream
  • Extra hours outside your funded entitlement
  • Trips, outings or special activities

These items are optional and are only charged if you choose them.

Optional enhanced provision

We offer an optional enhanced provision to families who would like it.

This may include:

  • All meals and snacks
  • Nappies, wipes and sun cream
  • Extra activities such as forest school, sports or outings
  • Specialist sessions
  • Family events and celebrations
  • Use of the Family app for updates, photos and messages

This is completely optional.
You can still use your funded hours without this package.

Choosing to opt out

If you choose to opt out of the enhanced provision:

  • Your child will still receive high-quality EYFS childcare
  • You will need to provide: All meals, snacks, nappies, wipes and sun cream
  • Updates and observations will be provided in paper form

10% Discount for siblings

Only one discount can be applied and not in conjunction with any other offer, discounts not available on the consumables charge for funding.
