Voluntary Enhanced Provision

At Jelly Beans Day Nursery we are dedicated to offering a high quality early years experience that supports every child’s development, curiosity and love of learning. As part of our commitment to enriching children’s time with us, we offer an Enhanced provision option which is a supplementary package designed to provide extended opportunities and experiences beyond the core curriculum.

Our enhanced provision includes a range of thoughtfully planned activities, specialist resources and extended learning opportunities that go beyond the standard nursery offer. These include a range of enrichment sessions such as forest school, visiting specialists, advanced learning materials or small group projects tailored to children’s interests.

This additional provision is offered at an extra cost when using the government funding offer as the funding DOES NOT cover this enhanced provision but it is entirely optional. It has been developed to further extend children’s learning experiences and provide additional opportunities for challenge, creativity, and exploration within a nurturing environment. 

What is included:

• A nutritional menu that is home-cooked by our nursery cook and includes Breakfast, Lunch, Light tea and two snacks, along with fresh drinking water and milk.
• Parent breakfast bar for breakfast on the go for parents on the move
• A lending library for children to enjoy a range of books borrowed from the nursery
• Nappies
• Sun cream
• Wipes
• Emergency medication 
• Celebrations including but not limited to: Remembrance Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Christmas, Easter, Graduation, Halloween, Diwali, Eid and other festivals that are relevant to children that attend the nursery.
• Specialist lessons across the week, these include Sports sessions, sign language, Yoga, forest school, etc.
• Baking club
• Gardening club
• Regular outings
• Face-to-face parent consultations
• Access to the Famly app, including the ability to see live updates of your child’s day, our policies and procedures, invoices, payment links, daily newsfeeds about your child’s day, access to instant messaging to the team and your keyworker, observations and photographs at the touch of a button.
• Family and child events include mummies’ munchy tea, Father’s Day celebrations for fathers to attend, Easter hunts, Christmas parties, visits from Santa, and birthday parties.
• Graduation ceremony 
• Fully qualified team of Early Educators working directly with your children.

Our enhanced provision costs are not covered by government funding, so they are completely voluntary on a term-by-term basis, requiring a full term’s notice to opt out once opting in. This is an average cost that will be added to any funding session you use with us if you choose to opt in and are non refundable.

Opting out of enhanced provision

Should you wish to opt out of our enhanced provision as detailed above you and your child/children will no longer receive the above provision but will receive the quality childcare as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage and we will ensure that there are activities to continue a quality service that fall in line with the core curriculum. 

Please note that you will no longer have access to the Famly app and all invoices, observations and daily information will be given to you in paper form. If your child is over the age of 2 years all daily information will be given verbally at handover at the end of each session.

When opting out you will be required to provide all meals and snacks. Please see our lunchbox policy.

You will also need to supply Nappies, Sun cream, wipes and spare clothes and will need to be enough to last the entire session. We will be unable to store these for you so please ensure they fit into your child’s bag which will be returned at the end of each day.

If your child runs out of nappies and/or wipes, you will be charged £0.50 per change carried out for your child in their session that day.
